Helping Defend Nanning Creek Giants
Mattole Defenders are lending assistance to the Nanning Creek Forest Defenders. The tree-sits have been raided by climbers contracted by Pacific Lumber and some supplies and gear confiscated. Thankfully so far no tree-sitters have been taken down. It is unclear whether two people reportedly arrested in the area were associated with the action. Friends and supporters of the tree-sitters held a vigil at the main access gate in Scotia. Unspecified direct-support efforts on the ground have been successful so far in helping the sitters.

One Question?
Since the Mattole is so close to Bear River and Davis Creek, why didn't you go there???
Why do loggers always want to tell activists where to go and what to do?
